The Maine Housewright Company is dedicated to serving the home construction needs of the Maine and New Hampshire seacoast community.
Our staff has proven capability gained from extensive project experience over a broad spectrum of building profiles from premium "bold oceanfront" properties to starter homes, additions, renovations and restorations.
In-house architectural designers and construction management consultants are available to assist homeowners on an as needed basis.

Ken Allen, representing the third generation of family housewrights, began learning his craft as a young man while working with his father, Cedric, building homes along the York, Maine seacoast. He eventually established his own construction group known locally as Kenneth Allen Builders. He expanded operations under the name of The Maine Housewright Company in 1998. His building specialties include Timberframe, Post and Beam, and the Arts and Crafts home styles.
